Getting Adjusted

Before chiropractic care is administered, Dr. Peter Lazarnick (Dr. Pete) will consult medical history with the patient and a physical examination will be performed to determine which treatment is appropriate. Chiropractic techniques may include manipulation and adjustments to the spine and are a safe, comfortable and effective method of treatment. Depending on the patient, a treatment plan may involve one or more manual adjustments in which Dr. Pete manipulates the joints, using a controlled force to improve the range and quality of motion.

A chiropractic adjustment will involve one of our doctors using their hands to apply a high velocity, short lever arm thrust to a vertebra. Often, patients will feel a sense of relief as the subluxation is released. It should be known that nothing is being cracked, but simply adjusted and put back in place. There are typically no side effects related to chiropractic adjustments though the patient may experience mild soreness afterward.
